GLASS

80m M/Y GLASS
Statement from the Exterior Designer: Vallicelli Design

80M

To streamline the construction process, Glass has been developed from the same proven platform as Bravo, which is currently under construction. While the two share an almost identical hull form, Glass distinguishes herself with a striking vertical bow. At the stern, the transom maintains the side doors and aft platform that forms a generous beach club area.

The clean, minimalistic hull sides complement the yacht’s innovative superstructure, defined by extensive glazing across all decks. This abundance of glass allows natural light to flood the interiors, creating a seamless connection with the sea. While some of the glazing must be structurally bonded to the metal framework, our goal has been to keep the window openings as expansive as possible to preserve the sense of openness.

Sharp exterior lines and pronounced chines give Glass an assertive, dynamic silhouette. The black paintwork blends into the tinted glazing, enhancing the yacht’s sleek, stealth-like appearance. Both the upper and bridge decks feature forward-leaning windows that further emphasize her powerful, progressive stance.

The sculpted deck contours create large interior volumes that can accommodate a layout comparable to Bravo’s. This includes a main deck saloon with dining area, a sky lounge aft on the upper deck, and a media room aft on the bridge deck. Accommodations can be arranged with an owner’s apartment forward on the upper deck and six guest cabins on the main deck.

Externally, Glass’s sundeck has been reimagined as a single, expansive surface surrounding the central mast that supports the hardtop. This area offers ample space for a jacuzzi, sunbathing and seating zones, and a compact gym. On the main deck aft, a 7-meter swimming pool forms the centerpiece of the cockpit, while the beach club below features a steam room and direct access to the sea.
